Do you think politics ruined sports in the US?

I feel like they did. I was never big into sports but my entire family has always been. It seems like half of them don't even watch and the ones that do watch don't get as excited anymore. This started 3 years ago and has since gotten worse I think. Because of Covid-19, I think it became even less of a thing in their lives.

Do you think politics played a role in sports' ratings dropping?

Of course that they ruined all the sports in the US. But this is not happening only here, the same situation is in Europe.

They did not ruined the sport. All they did was to make sure that people are safe from the Covid-19 virus. Which has helped control the number of cases to reasonable numbers.

Politics do control sport but to a limit, all football clubs are paying taxes to the government for reasons well known to them.
